Ladies 1s<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday 8 November, Dunfermline Carnegie ladies 1\u2019s hosted Uddingston 2\u2019s in a league match up. This was the second time in a week the two clubs had met, with Carnegie having faced Uddingston\u2019s first team in the Scottish Plate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eager to restore pride, Carnegie were determined to perform. This determination paid off, with Carnegie going 1-0 up in the first quarter with a deflection that found the net from a short corner. Carnegie kept up the pressure, outplaying Uddingston and found the backboard again in open play, with youngster Ciara Wilkie running rings around the Uddingston defence. Carnegie were 2-0 up at half time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carnegie\u2019s teamwork and talent shone through in the second half, with captain Ellen Gordon slotting home a rebound from a beautifully worked short corner. Uddingston had chances but ultimately were outperformed by a strong Carnegie side. Carnegie continued to slot the goals home, with the Uddingston defence at time helpless to the attacking play. The pressure continued, with the home side putting a further four goals passed the Uddingston keeper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This result has set Carnegie up for a strong finish going into the winter break next weekend, whilst Uddingston remain firmly rooted to the foot of the table. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MVP was awarded to Alex Fleming for her relentless efforts and attacking play on the wing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ladies 3s<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A very defence heavy match for Dunfermline’s L3s today against Grange Colts. The first half had a lot of pressure from Grange in the Dunfermline half. A few short corners were won for the Grange side but they were unable to capitalise from this. However during the second quarter, with another chance in the D for Grange they managed to score a goal after a few jumbled shots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second half brought more opportunities for Dunfermline with some good full field runs from Aimee. Dunfermline managed to apply more pressure to Grange in the second half with some opportunities for goals from shorts and attacking into the D, but unfortunately no outcomes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With great defence from Dunfermline who shut down attempts on goal from Grange leaving the score 1-0 at the full time whistle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
