Ladies 2s
Today Dunfermline Carnegie Ladies 2s played the Borders 3s at home and secured a 3-3 draw in a tightly contested game.
In the first quarter, teams were evenly matched but Carnegie lost the first goal after 7 minutes into the game but were able to level by making good triangle options – Laura passed the ball neatly to Ciara who scored a great goal.
In the second quarter there was a great strike from Laura to put Carnegie in front. There were strong balls coming through from both sides but it was the Borders who were able to get a short corner which they then equalized from to make it a 2-2 draw at Half-time.
In the third quarter, Carnegie struck early with a deflected goal from Joanna with an assist from Ciara to regain their lead. Borders got a short-corner which they scored from to take it to 3-3.
There was a strong finish from both sides but no further goals were made.

Ladies 3s
Dunfermline Carnegie 3s traveled to Haddington on Saturday 29th Nov. Carnegie started strongly and won a penalty corner right at the start of the game. This was slotted away nicely by Fiona McPhie. Dunfermline continued to press a great run into the “D” from Daisy Hobbs was followed by a pass across the goal to her mum Gemma Hobbs who guided the ball into the goal. Haddington put together a few attacks but didn’t threaten the goal. The 1st quarter finished with a fine strike from Daisy Hobbs to take the score to 3-0.
The 2nd and 3rd quarters continued much the same as the first with Dunfermline continuing to pressure but Haddington pushed forward more and Louise Murray in the Dunfermline goals pulled off a few good saves and the Dunfermline strikers creating some chances.
The 4th quarter was fairly even with both teams having chances to score. Kate Wallace added a 4th goal and Daisy Hobbs finished off the scoring with a fine run into the D taking, taking an early shot.
Good result for the team. Well done to MVP Nicola Waterson for holding strong in defence and preventing many Haddington attacks.
