Ladies 1s Indoor action before the Christmas break

Ladies 1s – Indoor

Carnegie Ladies squad arrived back at Meadowmill for a full day of indoor hockey.

Starting off with game one against Grange, Carnegie conceded early in the game after a well worked play from the Edinburgh side. After some intense work moving the ball around, the equaliser came not long after. Possession was split equally between the two sides and each scored another goal, with the final score of 2-2.

MVPs was Claire and Ciara.

Second up for the day was well known opponents from the outdoor league, Falkirk and Linlithgow.

Both teams worked hard to get some goals on the board and by half time, it was one a piece with a goal from open play scored by Alex. The second half remained on equal fronts, with a well placed drag flick scored by Emma, but Falkirk also equalising to give Carnegie another 2-2 draw for the day.

MVP was awarded to Kirsty.

The final game for Carnegie and the day was up against Perthshire who had played their games without a keeper, allowing for an extra player outfield giving a different advantage to either team. The work rate from both teams was impressive considering it was game 3 of the day for both sides. Perthshire opened the scoring but Carnegie followed up quickly with an equaliser. This run of play went on for some time with each side scoring in quick succession.

The game finished with a share of the points and a 6-6 scoreline.

MVP was split between Susie and Alex.
