Ladies 2s secure a point against Kelso

Ladies 2s

The Carnegie Ladies 2s made the journey to Kelso on Saturday 31st January.

The game opened with a goal to Kelso from open play, despite this Carnegie still pushed on and this effort was rewarded in the second quarter with a goal from Ciara, who skillfully dribbled into the D finding the bottom corner. However this goal was quickly countered by Kelso, scoring from a short corner putting them into the lead again. Carnegie scored another goal from open play, with Laura flicking it into the goal from the penalty spot, levelling the scores at half time.

The third quarter began with persistent efforts from both sides which were carried through the whole quarter, however it was Kelso that came out on top through another short corner and then a penalty flick to Kelso to put them in the lead once again.

Carnegie started the final quarter in full scale attack which led to a penalty flick being won which was slotted past the keeper by Emma. Carnegie kept this fighting spirt high throughout the quarter which allowed Jodi to reverse the ball over the line, levelling out the score before the final whistle blew.

Final score 4-4
